    Position Summary: 

    The Compliance Counsel supports ReedGroup’s Absence Management business by identifying and assessing key risks in the company’s operational processes and policies.

    Principal Accountabilities and Core Competencies:


    • Achieves corporate compliance operations objectives.
    • Subject matter expertise in state and federal leave of absence laws and absence management best practices.
    • Strong knowledge base of state and federal privacy laws.
    • Ability to educate and train on compliance policies and procedures.
    • Ability to perform risk assessments and conduct audits that span multiple organizations to develop strong checks-and-balances. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to incorporate compliance best practices into the business.
    • Strong inter-personal skills that allow counsel to be viewed as an essential partner to various business constituencies, including sales, operations and technology.
    • Commitment to creating and promoting a “best in class” compliance culture.
    • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

    • Position requires up to 10% travel



    • Law degree from accredited law school
    • 7+ years of experience in corporate compliance, regulatory and privacy law required.
    • FMLA and leave management best practices preferred.
