    PURPOSE

    We're seeking a junior-mid level Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will serve as a strategic partner working closely with the Site Director and Operations Managers in the Minnetonka office on a broad spectrum of organizational and Human Resource processes.  Their emphasis will be on employee relations, company policy and procedure, and performance management in order to support retention, engagement, development, rewards, and performance development.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Meet regularly with leaders and managers to maintain an understanding of the group’s performance, priorities and challenges.
    • In conjunction with Director of HR, proactively drive the delivery of HR initiatives into the business and ensure groups are leveraging HR resources to support their success.
    • Bolster employee performance by coaching management on goal setting, recognition, compensation, delivering feedback and looking for employee development opportunities that align with performance standards.
    • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.

     

    Employee Relations and Performance Management

    • Provides full cycle employee relations guidance working directly with managers on performance management, behavioral coaching, misconduct issues, discipline and terminations
    • Serves as a subject matter expert on company policies, procedures, exceptions, best practices and performance management
    • Identifies ineffective or inconsistent practices through monitoring and investigation of issues and makes recommendations for remediation
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and local municipalities employment law requirements
    • Refers all Leaves of Absence (LOA) claims to expert in HR ensuring all processes and regulations are applied appropriately and in a timely manner, including FMLA, ADA and STD and LTD

     

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Acts as a point of contact for all benefit and payroll questions and facilitates enrollment and onboarding for MN with referral to Comp. and Benefits team experts as appropriate.  
    • Maintains human resource information system records, including employee files and other HR records, and compiles reports as necessary from database
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 5+ years relevant HR experience required.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and/or sensitive information in a clear, concise, diplomatic and professional manner.
    • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills; ability to build effective relationships with employees, leadership and HR peers; ability to deliver authentic feedback.
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
    • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; previous experience with a HRIS; ability to learn and utilize different software systems and application.
    • Superior organizational, follow-up, and multi-tasking skills with a strict attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise excellent professional judgment and discretion.
    • A team player attitude with a clear understanding of excellence in customer service and the flexibility to assist in all areas of the HR Department as needed
    • SPHR or PHR Certification preferred.
