    Purpose: The Operational Performance Specialist is responsible for driving improvement through training delivery, routine monitoring of operational performance and documentation of processes.  This role is integral in the launch and ongoing performance of large, complex client.

    • Responsible for implementation of training, quality assurance and process documentation for large clients
    • Develops user materials, process documentation, quick reference guides, and job aids as appropriate
    • Develops training content using systematic approach to training development
    • Ongoing audit responsibilities of disability and leave claims in accordance with utilization guidelines, federal and state regulations, and client plan provisions
    • Conducts new hire training, client specific training and ongoing corrective training as needed for Customer Operations personnel based quality and performance audits
    • Gathers and enters audit data timely in Audit Tools
    • Leads calibration meetings with operations
    • Provides coaching based on opportunities identified through quality audits, survey results, queries, side-by-sides, etc
    • Creates and edits SOPs, job aids and other reference materials
    • Manages updates and revisions to training and reference materials
    • Collaborates to identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, standardization, consistency, and cohesion across the enterprise
    • Special licensing will be required



    Required Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of absence management
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
    • Self-starter who seeks out areas to help and improve for operations
    • Ability to meet performance and productivity targets with significant autonomy
    • Experience investigating performance problems


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Workman’s Comp experience is desirable.
    • Experience using Root Cause techniques (Six Sigma, Lean, Agile)
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Certification preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education/professional training



    • Intermediate levels skills with Microsoft Office
    • Experience with collaboration tools like WebEx and SharePoint
    • Presentation skills
    • Technical Writing skills
