  • Overview

    PURPOSE:  The Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics leads the team responsible for both: 1) building reporting and analytic solutions for our customers, and 2) providing enterprise-wide insights to ReedGroup’s leaders that aide in decision making. This role collaborates with other leaders and subject matter experts to frame, prioritize, and address the business problems of our customers and internal stakeholders with data-driven insights. This leader is also accountable for the delivery of the department’s programs and initiatives such as master data management, data governance, and Business Intelligence strategy. Finally, the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics represents ReedGroup as an Absence Management thought leader at key industry conferences and customer-facing meetings.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Collaborates with leaders across the organization to design and implement reporting and analytic products that provide actionable insights to our customers.
    • Provides the organization with data-driven insights that can inform products and services aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
    • Develops and communicates goals, strategies, plans, and key performance metrics for departmental programs and initiatives.
    • Prioritizes and manages the portfolio of departmental programs, initiatives, and deliverables to meet business requirements on-time and within budget.
    • Determines how and when to use quantitative research methodologies and models.
    • Drives the design, development and deployment of standardized metrics, benchmarks, and indices.
    • Determines and imparts to the team best practices regarding the presentation and interpretation of research and data.
    • Creates and manages business intelligence and data management processes.
    • Manages departmental team members which includes: hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
    • Represents ReedGroup as an absence management thought leader through participating in Industry conferences and committees, delivering presentations, and authoring research papers.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 8+ years of experience in reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence
    • 4 years of experience managing a staff and operating in a leadership role
    • 8+ years of experience addressing business needs through technologies and analytical methodologies
    • 8+ years of experience in interpreting data, preparing recommendations and presenting findings to various levels of management and to customers
    • Healthcare or absence management industry experience strongly preferred
    • Proven track record of delivering highly-scalable and reliable solutions
    • Advanced information management skills in data architecture, data management, EDW, and report design
    • Advanced Tableau, SPSS, SQL, and MicroSoft Office experience
    • Excellent customer engagement skills
    • Excellent written and communication skills, particularly the ability to distill complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts and “stories”
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Analytics, or Healthcare Informatics
