  • Overview

    PURPOSE:    The Account Executive III is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing software and service customers and/or partners’ customers.   In addition, the Account Executive III manages account profitability, loss risk, and growth and serves as the single point of contact for Reed Group customers for in-coming and out-going communication upon completion of the sale.  The Account Executive III may have one or more Client Services Personnel direct reports.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Accepts assignment(s) to specific customer accounts
    • Develops professional, productive relationships with all account constituents (internal functions including sales, operations, and executives, client personnel, client employees)
    • Demonstrated ability and high level of comfort presenting to, conversing with, and fostering long term productive relationships with C suite and executive level client contacts and/or their proxy
    • Facilitates on-going communications to ensure solid client relations, growth, stability and strategic alignment; addresses client concerns, seeks resolution to issues and acts as the liaison between the client and internal resources
    • Acts as a client advocate within Reedgroup and serves as the clients strategic point of contact
    • Tracks and manages daily tactical issues either individually or through leveraging of internal support resources; ensures customer satisfaction with services provided, brings visibility to, and partners with internal resrources to resolve operational and/or other delivery  issues affecting client relations.
    • Forecasts and manages risk and liability while creating and driving plans to mitigate those risks
    • Receives, assembles, interprets and communicates customer and operations reporting data as appropriate
    • Develops recommendations for, and communicates with Operations and other key internal partners  in order to ensure appropriate understanding and management of  client policies,  business planning, client expectation, and overall service delivery
    • Proactively partners with ReedGroup compliance in an effort to inform client of changes in legislation that affect disability, workers compensation and FMLA management
    • Tracks customer renewal timeframes, plans and coordinates renewal effort according to appropriate timing and identifies and plans upsell opportunities  accordingly
    • Ensures client profitability:  takes action and develops plans focused on profitability and retention
    •  Drives proactive issue resolution and raises early visibility to issues requiring senior level intervention Contributes to development of departmental objectives
    • Understands budget / profit / risk mitigation as it relates to client delivery ReedGroup’s overall business objectives
    • Demonstrates expert knowledge of Industry best practices
    • Able to understand and articulate ReedGroup’s Product Roadmap
    • Development and maintenance of a client level strategic account plan

    Qualifications

    OTHER DUTIES:

    • Attends and/or contributes strategies to cross department and client meetings
    • Other duties as required

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 5 to 10 years of direct Client facing experience or advanced degree equivalent
    • 25% - 35% Travel
    • Strong communication, relationship development, negotiation, and issue management skills
    • Experience monitoring and managing profitability (gross margin); ability to understand financial reports
    • Experience managing pricing with customers to include internal and direct costs
    • Experience managing customer satisfaction, loss risk, and other issues
    • Ability to develop sales, renewal and up sell plans for individual customers
    • Strong professional communications, demeanor, and presence
