    Purpose: The Client Payroll Manager is a customer-focused leader responsible for accurate and compliant end-to-end processing of ReedGroup’s Client Payroll. Responsible for multi-client: multi-state tax and federal tax filing and reporting submitted by ADP. Provides input to strategic decisions related to Client Payroll. The Client Payroll Manager is as a knowledgeable resource regarding leave pay for RG ATP/check-cutting clients.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:       

    • Supervises and develops team of Specialists to ensure accurate and timely delivery of client payroll while maintaining service level objectives and focusing on customer satisfaction.
    • Ensures legal compliance, accuracy of processing of wages, state offsets, and tax withholdings for multiple clients in a multi-state environment.
    • Manage a strong control environment through clearly defined, documented processes and ensure ongoing SOX compliance
    • Monitor client payroll bank accounts for funding and processing of payroll and oversees the Payroll Specialists related activities.
    • Completes quarterly review with ADP to ensure all quarterly wages and tax filings are submitted and accepted by the state and federal agencies. Ensures all filings post timely and accurately.
    • Provides input to strategic decisions related to the client payroll functionWorks closely with the Implementation and Operations teams to ensure implementations align with requirements and functionality necessary for a successful launch of a check-cutting client; to include User Acceptance Testing in advance of client implementations.
    • Serves as escalation point for payroll-related client requests and issues. Informs management of escalated issues.
    • Ensures all payroll-related standard operating procedures are up-to-date, complete, and fully trained.
    • Oversees and provides direction to the team to support audit requests from clients and external auditors.
    • Participates in client meetings.
    • Provides weekly updates to management on team progress and initiatives.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; or equivalent combination of payroll experience and education.
    • A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
    • Minimum 7-10 years direct experience administering high volume & multi-pay period payroll, including experience with outside vendors and third-party administrators.
    • Minimum of 5 years effectively leading and developing others, preferably managing a payroll team.
    • Working knowledge of Short and Long Term Disability pay.
    • ADP experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated accuracy in reconciliations.
    • Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
