Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:  The VP, Outsourcing and Software Sales will develop and drive strategic sales plans that align with the company’s goals and drive sales growth. This role will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be responsible for the overall productivity, effectiveness and success of the sales organization. This role will build upon ReedGroup’s current business and sales success by identifying new direct business opportunities, expand broker and consultant relationships and drive channel opportunities through proven sales processes and methods. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Financial Officer to develop annual sales goals.
  • Create and implement strategic growth plans, consultant/broker strategies and sales campaigns to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the sales team to consistently meet or exceed sales revenue and profitability goals and develop the pipeline and foundation for future growth. 
  • Responsible for assigning sales targets appropriately and equitably across the sales team and evaluate the performance of each team member.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop quarterly and annual sales forecasts for all products and services. 
  • Oversee the sales process and pipeline within Salesforce.com to ensure status and projections are predictable and accurate.
  • Deliver high quality, accurate and timely information, revenue forecasts, reports and analysis that allow the business to capitalize on opportunities, manage issues and plan for growth.
  • Monitor and incorporate customer feedback, market trends and competitive analysis into sales and product strategies.
  • Manage critical customer and consultant relationships, participate in closing strategic opportunities and support sales activities as needed to ensure successful results.
  • Work with sales operations to define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Responsible for ensure RFP deadlines are met and detailed requirements are understood prior to submission. Close collaboration with sales operations and solution architects required.
  • Establish and manage departmental budgets; manage expenses within the sales budget in support of the company’s overall profitability.
  • Represent the Company by providing in-depth product and service knowledge, industry expertise and a thorough understanding of business issues that drive the sale.

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive the creation and utilization of sales collateral, demand generation programs and campaigns that generate sales revenue.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to help shape future product and service offerings and to support roadmap execution.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration between the Implementation and Operations teams and other internal groups.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of sales or sales management experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading high performing sales teams
  • Absence Management knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated success in all areas of sales including strategic planning, forecasting and achievement of sales goals
  • Proven experience leading, managing and motivating successful sales teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and relate to others across different levels, industries and functions
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create new capabilities, implement sales programs and initiatives
  • Strong leadership presence; ability to inspire and articulate sales vision
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
