Who We Are: Reed Group is a dynamic, fast growing organization that works in a niche industry most commonly known as Third Party Administration. We are known for being a leader in managing absences for major companies including Fortune 100 companies. More specifically, instead of employers managing the process when an employee needs to go out on leave for FMLA (the family medical leave act) or for Short Term or Long Term Disability, we handle it for them. As a result we have a large customer operations team of talented individuals who manage our client’s employee cases.

We build the software (we have a large group of developers) to manage the entire work flow which is why you could easily think of us as a technology company. We also have a content business called MDGuidelines that contains treatment recommendations for best managing an employee back to work.

Right now we are over 1,900 employees (and growing daily).

As Director of Business Process Improvement you will evaluate, design, execute, measure, monitor, and control business processes, in a large-scale, high visibility Customer centric organization. Successful candidates will ensure that business process outcomes are in harmony with an organization’s strategic goals. You will collaborate across the enterprise to help improve the management of a business process, focusing on end-to-end processes, while introducing innovation that can impact results, enhance profitability and assist the organization to meet its business objectives and goals, reducing waste and improving efficiency, while positively impacting employee and Customer satisfaction.

  • Advise senior leaders on corporate strategy, business excellence, and strategic projects
  • Influence and interact with executives and gain engagement and trust from key operational leaders
  • Lead process development and improvement initiatives from concept to execution related to multiple business units and multiple stakeholders
  • Create executive dashboards to simplify communication of key information
  • Conduct benchmarking, operational and financial analysis, including Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Employee
  • Identify and create a business process model that helps accomplish specific business objectives
  • Create a business plan and ROI for project initiatives, including measures of success
  • Establish key performance indicators, method for collection and reporting of key financial, operational, and organizational data
  • Pursue ongoing enhancement of process effectiveness focusing on continuous improvement, aligned with organizational health and strategy
  • Implement robust and positive change management with the ability to influence and change the hearts and minds of Employees and Customers affected by the change
  • Evaluate, design and control business processes by engaging employees to inspire and empower them to provide input into process change.


  • 10 plus years of related experience in business excellence, operational improvement, corporate finance, strategic analysis, and business transformation
  • Process improvement, change management and project management experience.
  • Strong financial and legal background is desired.
  • Work experience with consulting and advisory groups highly desirable
  • Bachelor Degree in any related field preferred, not required.
  • Strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach
  • Experience in financial, corporate development, lean management, shared services, process improvement is desired
  • Demonstrated expertise and aptitude with conducting strategic, quantitative and qualitative analysis, particularly for rationalization and simplification purposes
  • High achiever, ability to interact with senior executives on strategic matters while delivering on details of project tasks
  • Proven experience of continued process innovation using exceptional determination, self-motivation and interpersonal skills.
